With the wonderful help of the Carson City Assembly, Rainbow Girls, we assisted the kids in planting their very own take home herb gardens. They were very excited to learn their plants would grow into food they could cook with if they provided proper care. These types of projects give the children something to look forward to, be responsible for and an understanding of where things come from.

We are at the end of our fourth week and have served over 2,700 lunches. We are having a great time with the kids. Thank you to those of you who have come out and volunteered, we couldn't do it without you.
